Location: Hemel-en-Aarde
Working Hours: 6 hours per day, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday
Role Overview
We are seeking a responsible and reliable Part–Time Driver to join our team at The Pebbles Project Trust, based in Hemel-en-Aarde. The primary responsibility of this role is to transport children to and from schools, our facility, and other locations as required. The successful candidate will also be responsible for driving the Pebbles Project bus for various outings, events, and appointments, as well as performing some basic maintenance and cleaning tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Transporting Students: Safely transport children from their homes to schools, from schools to the Pebbles Project Hemel-en-Aarde facility, and then back home in the afternoon.
- Driving the Pebbles Project Bus: Operate the Pebbles Project bus for trips, educational outings, special projects, and appointments.
- Deliveries and Collections: Handle deliveries and collections as needed for the organization.
- Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform simple maintenance duties on the vehicle as required, and carry out basic cleaning tasks.
- Meal Assistance: Assist with meal preparations when necessary.
- Ad-Hoc Duties: Support with various administrative and operational tasks around the office as needed.
Requirements
Please ensure you meet the following criteria before applying:
- Valid Code 10 License and PDP: You must hold a valid Code 10 driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP), or be willing to obtain one.
- Reliable Transport: Own a dependable mode of transport.
- Flexible Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings.
- Sober Habits: Must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining sober habits.
