About the Role For Branch Security Officers
As a Branch Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and efficiency of our branch operations. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to enforce security protocols, manage staff, and maintain compliance with South African security regulations.
Key Responsibilities For Branch Security Officers
🔹 Branch Security Management
- Ensure all security procedures are strictly followed.
- Monitor and mitigate potential security risks.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
🔹 Staff Supervision & Training
- Oversee security personnel and ensure adherence to protocols.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on security best practices.
🔹 Equipment & Compliance
- Maintain and inspect security equipment (CCTV, alarms, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with PSIRA, CIT regulations, and company policies.
🔹 Reporting & Investigations
- Prepare detailed security reports.
- Investigate security breaches and recommend corrective actions.
🔹 Health & Safety
- Promote a safe working environment in line with OHSA standards.

Requirements
✔ Education & Certifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid Driver’s License & PDP (PrDP)
- PSIRA Grade B & CIT Certification (Mandatory)
✔ Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of South African security laws.
- Excellent report writing, risk management, and investigation skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Leadership ability with experience in team supervision.
✔ Personal Attributes:
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
